Task 3-Standards and Accreditation


Develop Standards and Accreditation Infrastructure by working with existing accreditation bodies to develop a structure for world-wide interim reliability of SSL testing laboratories’ performance data.

 

Subtask

3.1: Create List of National/ Regional/ International SSL standards. Identify missing international standards.

Key Deliverables

  • Create table of existing/needed standards and solicit analysis.

  • Link with existing standardization technical committees (IEC, CIE, ISO ANSI, IESNA, JIS, CATS, BSI, SA etc.).

  • Develop a Contact list of accreditation bodies with whom to coordinate.

  • Request revisions and new international standards if needed

3.2: Collaborate with accreditation bodies worldwide on the need and feasibility for international accreditation of SSL products.

  • Coordinate international accreditation of SSL testing laboratories that will offer traceability of SSL products, and work to introduce short-term accreditation as a stop-gap measure

3.3: Develop recommendation for a platform of mutual recognition of accreditation programs for testing SSL products

  • Proposed recommendation for mutual recognition of SSL testing accreditation programs.
