The Annex is working to clarify the needs of governments and consumers, and is working with the SSL industry to determine realistic expectations of SSL technology.  The goal of this work is to reduce the risk in using SSL products and to provide Governments and consumers with recommendations that they can trust when investing in SSL products.

The Annex is working to identify a suite of metrics and values related to minimum performance values of SSL for energy efficiency, lighting quality, and safety.

Draft proposals for these performance critieria, proposed levels will be available for public comment in the near future.
